Needleman from the Wall Street Journal titled “Blog It and They May Come.”  She explains the usefulness of web blogging for companies; for educational purposes, customer service, or just generating revenue.  Her research also shows the effectiveness of blogging as a marketing tool; helping businesses’ grow there name and revenue.

In a recent article written by Marketing today called “How Customer-Focused is Your Website? Stalking the Narcissistic Web” they bring up the most important point that websites are not being developed for the customers, but they are being created based off of what the business wants portrayed on their site.  However, this is drawing clients away from your website, which in the long run decreases revenue. “To heck with product benefits or helping prospects and customers solve their problems – the narcissistic website dwells on the company’s spectacularly engineered offerings, their superior manufacturing techniques, the brilliance of their people, the company’s offices. Is there a place for bragging? Sure, but it’s secondary to the customer’s issues. Too many websites forget this.” (


Internet Displaces Radio As Fourth Biggest Ad Medium

INTERNET AD REVENUES ARE SET to pass radio’s for the first time, according to eMarketer, a firm that tracks and analyzes spending trends across various media. EMarketer is pegging Internet ad spending at $21.7 billion, compared to $20.4 billion for radio. eMarketer’s report comes as the Internet already has surpassed outdoor ad spending, and as a recent report from equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson predicts that the Internet will displace television as the No. 1 ad medium by 2011.
